It is NEVER TOO HOT FOR Summertime Fun! Summer is just what you make of it. What is it for you? Is it memories of times gone by, or dreaming of upcoming events? Finally taking a time out from the stresses and hanging with your friends, or wishing for places far away? Stick around home! Take a look at these kids! This is what summer can be, if you use a little water and some imagination. Summer time is a time to let down your hair, take off your shoes, slip into a cool something and LET GO. And you don’t need to leave town, spend a bunch of money or call a travel agent. You just need to engage your childlike imagination and GO! It is Never TOO HOT for playing in the water!
I love summertime. I do hate the heat. So is this a contradiction? Not exactly. There are about five to seven hours a day in the dead of summer that I wish I lived two feet into the cool Pacific! But the balance of the days I love what it means to be in the summertime. People are generally not so uptight and they have a tendency to be more generous with their smiles and time. It is a time to reach out to others you love and make some fun out of nothing. My career as a Realtor has opened the door to many summertime treats. Being out in the field I often have found little fruit stands where the berries are cheap and are so ripe that you can smell the sugar before you get out of the car. One of my FAVORITE summertime blessings is attending a good WELL INSPECTION! Take a look at what a cool gush of deep well water looks like on hot feet on a 103 degree Nevada County Summer Day! Its never too hot to take your shoes off and find a cool spring of water to play in, and frankly you are never to OLD to enjoy it.
Growing up in California we had some really sweet summers just floating down the rivers and paddling around the lakes on inner tubes. When others might have had a beautiful regulation “slip and slide” we just had packing plastic (yes even then I was involved with moving materials) and a long hose or two. Water skiing, wake boarding, boating of any sort, or just getting wet cannot be beat. Eating vine ripened produce, nibbling on fried chicken, and enjoying a big slice of watermelon are just a few of the memories of a childhood spent in the HEAT of California summer.
If you can’t think of any other way to cool off, then give me a call. You can join me playing with my trusty ball dunking dog “Magic” in her little blue pool (well to be honest, there isn’t much room these days for anything but Magic and her toys in the pool).
Enjoy the lovely lakes, rivers, and slip n slides, here in Nevada County, then call me so we can find a grill and “tell stories” about Summertime and real estate. It’s just never too hot.
Happy Summer everyone!
