Congratulations to our new neighbors at 10975 Ball Road. I will let you (all my Ball Road area clients) meet and greet them as they are moving in as I write this blog. For many months they had been looking for the perfect home to raise their sweet children, and settle in for the next phase of their lives together here in Alta Sierra. They finally found a home that fits their needs.
This closing was NOT without a few headaches, especially at the closing week once the file had to be passed on to the lender for funding. Nothing that the buyer or seller did (or for that matter the agents!) caused the hiccups. But hiccups we did have, due to some squirrely happenings at the lender. I can’t tell you what their job is like as I don’t know. I just know that due to some circumstances with the final phase of our closing, a normal happy transaction became a cliff hanger. So GOOD for you buyers and sellers for sticking to your guns, being patient (I was NOT), and being flexible. And thank you to Julie Eldridge for sticking it out and doing all you could to have this be a smooth escrow.
And finally a BIG ole thank you and aloha to my special friends Grant and Dottie. They have lived in this home for 19 years, and were a bit sad to be leaving it. Having raised their son Jeremiah and puppy Sadie there, they have many happy memories of times gone by. That chapter of their lives is now closed, and they handed the keys over to the new owners with a sad sigh. The memories will sustain them, I am sure, while they move across country to their new home in Florida! They both love the sun, fishing, and water sports, not to mention their motorcycle rides. They now have the entire East Coast of our amazing America to investigate, much as they have the West Coast these past ten years.
This is the way we love them to end. Everyone happy and excited with few difficulties as we navigate the sale.
